Student activities
Not only studying hard, students also participate in activities organized by the Faculty Student Union run by a number of young staff and elected students in the Faculty. It aims at attracting and uniting students in the Faculty to useful and interesting extracurricular activities such as sport, musical, and voluntary activities, etc. The main activites of the Union are:
- Learning activities: IT Club is a place for students to present, discuss, and exchange experiences concerning studying issues, via seminars, competitions, magazines and forums. Moreover, it often offers extra-classes, which is technology-oriented, to assist students to learn better, and organizes trips to hi-tech parks and companies to provide students with industrial experience.
- Recreational activities: The Union regularly organizes musical, cultural, and sport performances and competitions, and trips to the country’s beautiful landscapes and historical places. These activities are often organized on the occasion of holidays or events such as Sep 2nd, Nov 20th, Mar 26th, etc.
- Voluntary activities: These are to encourage students to join activities serving the community such as offering blood, helping paralysed and miserable people, etc. A major activity is Mua He Xanh (Blue Summer) in which students go to rural and distant areas for one month to help people there to improve their material and mental life. Their mission includes building houses and bridges, teaching children school subjects, training adults to use computers, organizing musical and sport activities, disseminating legal and health information, etc.
By means of such activities, students can exercise their health, relax after hard studying time, and making contribution to the society.
